A Crucial Question To Ask: How Do You See Yourself?

By Kate Paguinto

Loss of confidence is sometimes an unfortunate side effect of heartbreak. We tend to perceive ourselves differently because of the other person's inability to see our value. It's crucial in these moments of self doubt to remember that the way we see ourselves is infinitely more important.

In this video from Soul Pancake, different women are asked how they believe others perceive them. They go around the room and share that they feel like people see them as "cynical," "naive," "overly sexual,"etc. They also talk about how they've tried to change certain parts of their personality or appearance to fit in. A recurring theme among these women seems to stem from the idea that they have often felt they are "not enough" as they are.

As one woman so wisely says in the video, "We all have the same insecurities. We've all gone through it. I feel a great unity with all of you because it's exhausting, isn't it?"
